Advantages of Being Listed
Nasdaq Iceland hf. is the center for fixed income offering in Iceland. We are an integrated part of the Icelandic financial infrastructure given our offerings of listing and trading and provider of information services related to Icelandic fixed income products.
Thus listing of securities on our market gives a direct access to the Icelandic financial market through trading and data distribution services to all financial institutions in Iceland. In short a listing gives you the following advantages:
- Listing on a regulated market fulfills requirements from many institutional investors who are often only allowed to invest in listed securities. Similarly listing on a regulated exchange will help with approaching retail investors.
- Trading in the secondary market with updated pre and post trade information in all securities.
- Visibility through distribution via information vendors.
- Official price quotes from a regulated exchange.
The exchange advises issuers to consult the Exchange in a timely fashion and to request a meeting with the exchange’s representatives in order to be familiarized with the procedure for admission of bonds to trading.
An issuer applies for admission to trading by filling out an admission form
Information about the admission requirements can be found in chapter 3 of the Rules for Issuers of Financial Instruments on Nasdaq Iceland.
