The Nasdaq-100 Index is a modified market-capitalization-weighted index composed of securities issued by the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market.

FLEX Options

Available on PHLX only, FLEX Options offer the newest in risk management instruments, especially designed to extend investor access to customized derivative products. With FLEX Options, clients can customize equity options to fit specific investment strategies and goals. FLEX Options allow clients to specify characteristics such as the expiration date, strike price, and exercise-style of the contract.

An equity option is a contract to buy or sell an underlying stock, exchange-traded fund (ETF), or similar product.

Index Options

Index Options

An index option is a financial derivative that gives the holder the right, but not the obligation to buy or sell the value of an underlying index, such as the Nasdaq-100® Index (NDX), at the stated exercise price on or in some cases before the expiration date of the option.

Weekly Options

Weekly Options

Nasdaq offers short-term options series (“Weeklies”) on underlyings. Short-term options series trade for approximately 50 products one week and expire on Fridays, unless Friday is a trading holiday. Select symbols have weeklies going out as far as five weeks.

Quarterly Options

Quarterly Options

Quarterly options expire at the close of business on the last business day of the calendar quarter and may be listed for up to five currently listed option classes that are either Index Options or options on Exchange Traded Funds.
