Edward Knight

Executive Vice President and General Counsel of the NASDAQ OMX Group

Nasdaq’s Global Government Relations efforts report to Mr. Knight. Mr. Knight served as General Counsel of the U.S. Department of the Treasury from September 1994 to June 1999, where he was the Department's longest-serving General Counsel since the position was created in 1934. Upon his departure, Knight received the Alexander Hamilton Award from Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin - the Department's highest award. He also received the Honor Award from the Secret Service. Before being named General Counsel, Knight served as Executive Secretary and Senior Advisor to Secretary of the Treasury Lloyd Bentsen. Knight's accomplishments at the Treasury Department include his critical involvement in the United States' provision of bilateral assistance to the Government of Mexico in 1995 and to the Government of Brazil in the fall of 1998. He served on the commission that restructured the Internal Revenue Service in 1996 and led the legal team that advised Treasury Secretary Rubin in 1995 and 1996 on the debt limit crisis. Prior to his tenure at the Treasury, Knight was a partner with the law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld in its Washington, D.C., office. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Knight served as a member of the Obama Transition Team at the U.S. Treasury Department in 2008-2009.

Andreas Gustafsson

Senior Vice President/Chief Counsel Nasdaq Europe

Gustafsson manages the group that provides legal and regulatory support for Nasdaq's European regulated entities including Exchanges, CCPs, CSDs and investment firms. His responsibilities also include oversight of the Trading and Issuer Surveillance department, which monitors members and issuers on the Nordic Exchanges, in compliance of EU regulations, and covers all major governmental policy directives in Europe. He has been with Nasdaq since 2005 and previously was with the Swedish FSA, in which he was involved in European policy working groups such as MiFID. He is the Chairman of Nasdaq Stockholm AB, member of the Listing Committee, International Regulatory Strategy Group as well as governmental working groups.
Terry Campbell

Vice President, Global Government Relations

Terry has a wealth of experience in public policy and finance. Terry previously served in the United States Senate for Senator Chuck Hagel (NE) as Senior Legislative Assistant for Banking. Hagel, a member of the Senate Banking Committee and Chairman of the International Trade and Finance Subcommittee also tapped Terry to serve as that Subcommittee’s Staff Director. Terry served as Legislative Assistant to current House Financial Services Committee Chairman Spencer Bachus. In the 106th Congress, Terry was lead staffer for the Congressman on the historic conference committee that produced the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. During the Administration of President George H.W. Bush, Terry served as Confidential Assistant to HHS Secretary Louis W. Sullivan. A graduate of the University of Alabama in International Relations, Terry received his Master of Business Administration from Samford University and was a member of the American Academy of Distinguished Students and a member of Sigma Beta Delta – The National Honor Society for Business students.

Jameel Johnson

Associate Vice President, Government Relations

Before he came to Nasdaq, Jameel served as Chief of Staff for U.S. Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (NY) who is a member of the House Financial Services Committee and the Foreign Affairs Committee. The Financial Services Committee has jurisdiction over the capital markets. He is also the former President of the House of Representatives Chiefs of Staff Association. Jameel is the former Executive Director of the Rockaway Development and Revitalization Corporation, a non-profit community development organization, as well as having been a staffer to former Congressman Floyd H. Flake (NY). He holds an MBA in International Finance from St. John’s University and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.

Laura Nolan

Manager, Government Relations

Laura previously served as a political fundraiser for U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ), U.S. Congressman Joe Pitts (PA), former U.S. Congressman Lee Terry (NE) and U.S. Senator Jeff Flake (AZ). Prior to political fundraising, Laura was Legislative Correspondent on the Washington, D.C. staff of U.S. Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ). Laura also served on the Committee to Elect Morgan Griffith to U.S. Congress (VA).

Ludovic Aigrot

Vice President, European Affairs

Ludovic is head of Nasdaq's European Office of Government Relations, which main role is to elaborate Nasdaq's policy positions on EU legislation. To implement this goal, the office is the interface with the European Commission, European Parliament, EU Member States Permanent Representations in Brussels, European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), European Central Bank (ECB) and ensures the necessary network of contacts in Europe including for Nasdaq's senior management. For Nasdaq's positions to be represented more widely, the office also works with the Federation of European Securities Exchanges (FESE), the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE) as well as the European Association of Clearing Houses (EACH). Ludovic Aigrot is a former chairman of FESE's management committee and is observer to FESE Board as well as a member of WFE's Working Committee and an observer to WFE Board. Ludovic Aigrot holds a post-graduate diploma in international commercial law from Sorbonne University (Paris, France). Prior to joining Nasdaq he was Director of EU Affairs for Euronext, he also worked at the Council of Europe on economic crime issues as well as for the French derivatives market (MATIF) and the banking sector.

Elina Yrgård

Legal Counsel, European Affairs

Elina came to Nasdaq from Finansinspektionen, the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority. In this capacity she worked on issues affecting the securities markets, investment firms and banking. She served as Coordinator for Securities Market issues and Acting Head of the Securities, Exchange and Clearing Unit, which included representing the Swedish FSA in Expert Groups of the Committee of European Securities Regulators and in other international regulatory cooperations. She also served a temporary assignment to the Ministry of Finance and was an Expert for the Swedish Takeover Committee. Prior to her service for the Swedish FSA, she was a attorney for Backman & Åström Law Firm AB and Law Firm Hybbinette & Partners KB working on business law, contract law, IT/IP law and litigation. She has also served at District and Appeals Courts in Sweden. She holds a Master of Laws Degree and degree in Business Administration from Stockholm University. She speaks four languages. Elina is also engaged as a lecturer in educational conferences and represents Nasdaq in the Swedish Financial Market Committee Subgroup on International Regulatory Affairs.

Kristiina Mossop

Senior EU Affairs Assistant, Office General Counsel 

Kristiina Joined the Brussels office in September 2014. Prior to joining Nasdaq she worked at the European Parliament as a Parliamentary Assistant for Philip Bradbourn, British MEP. She has worked for several large and small companies, including Ikea’s HQ in Sweden. Originally from Finland she studied for BA in Language studies in UK where she lived for over 20 years before moving to Sweden and finally to Belgium.
