Nasdaq and tastytrade Options Symposium

Nasdaq and tastytrade hosted tastytrade’s very first options event at the eclectic Bluebird Theatre in Denver, CO this Saturday, April 12th to a sold out audience of more than 350 active traders.

In 2018, the idea materialized for Nasdaq to partner with tastytrade to bring options-centric content to traders across the U.S. To help educate the options community, Nasdaq looked to industry veterans Tom Sosnoff and Tony Battista to highlight the benefits and use cases of incorporating options into your portfolio.

Nasdaq’s Senior Managing Director of U.S. Option Sales, Sean Feeney, kicked the event off talking about how he got into the business when the Nasdaq-100 Index® price was approximately $1,200 and has since increased to about $7,500 in just over a decade.

Tony “BAT” Battista brought his experience from both the floor and as a market maker to discuss 6 popular options strategies and in which situations to leverage them. If you’d like to learn more about his strategic insights, you can download the full deck here.

To bring it home, Tom Sosnoff chose eight Nasdaq-listed stocks to show how to apply the various strategies BAT highlighted within a scalable portfolio.

As the two-hour event came to a close, the sold-out crowd stayed behind to ask the speakers questions, as well as receive additional advice. With such a wonderful audience reaction, we hope to sponsor more shows in future.

Nasdaq’s Senior Product Manager, John Black, expressed that "partnering with tastytrade provided the Nasdaq team the perfect opportunity to connect with the active trader and understand, first-hand, how they are utilizing options in their portfolios."
